So this is what Google was working to solve, and many Android users have reported now that the Google Assistant in their smartphone is asking them to configure the voice modeling. Google Assistant has been available on a number of new smartphones. "No matter what questions you're asking-whether about local traffic or a local business-your Google Assistant should be able to help". Google will prompt you to retrain your voice by saying "Hey Google" instead of "Ok Google". The Pixel 2 XL costs a tad more and is getting a slightly bigger price cut of $75, for a total price of $775. The update has been mostly smooth and without issues, but not for all.

Discount promos on Google devices are rare enough, and doubly so for their flagship Pixel phones.

Meanwhile, let us know if you are also facing the similar issue on your Pixel 2 XL after updating it to Android 8.1.

On the flip side, there have been several issues with the Pixel 2 XL, including burn-in, unresponsive display edges and flashing screens.

Some Pixel 2 XL owners managed to fix the problem by turning on the "always on display" feature on their devices, but for those of you who prefer to keep it disabled in order to improve the battery time, a fix is on the way.

The 64 GB version of the Pixel 2 XL, on the other hand, now costs only $775 with this sale. According to a report by xda-developers, the existence of the "Hey Google" command was first spotted in the APK of the Google app, on the Pixel 2.

Though Google has not commented on the issue, but the company is aware of it an fix it soon.

Though some initial issues affected the Pixel 2 devices, the flagship smartphones continue to set the standard.
