He fumbled on the second play of the second half, setting up Texas Tech's second touchdown of the day that gave the Red Raiders a 17-10 lead.

Texas Tech wide receiver Cameron Batson made a great move in the Birmingham Bowl on Saturday, even though he came just short of a touchdown.

The Bulls had won last year's Birmingham Bowl on Flowers' 25-yard touchdown pass in overtime against SC. He finished the game with 311 passing yards and four passing touchdowns to go with 106 rushing yards and another touchdown. According to oddsmakers from online sports book, the Bulls are 3-point favorites to beat the Red Raiders, who opened as a 3-point underdog. That's in contrast to a Texas Tech unit that ranked No. 99 in the country in total defense, but instead led the Big 12 in turnover margin.

Then South Florida marches down the field, but had to settle for a 25 yard field goal by Emilio Nadelman. As noted above, the two teams got off to slow starts offensively, with USF answering a Texas Tech field goal with one of its own in the first quarter.

His counterpart, Nic Shimonek, also shined for the Red Raiders despite the loss. After forcing a three-and-out on the ensuing possession, USF took over at the Texas Tech 43-yard line and worked their way into the end zone, this time ending the drive with Flowers running off to the right side to find a clear path for a game-tying touchdown.

The risque Birmingham Bowl trophy, replete with its sculpture of a bare-bottomed Roman god. Red Raiders go up 34-31, 1:31 left in the 4th.

His final two touchdowns were his most clutch, however.
