Franco won for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy in "The Disaster Artist," a film based on the making of Wiseau's so-bad-it's-actually-good 2003 film "The Room".

Franco, who swore to bring Wiseau with him to the ceremony after he was nominated previous year, invited the movie's subject up to stand on stage with him as he collected his statue.
