Government research shows link between cell phone radiation and tumors in rats

Female rats and mice exposed in the same way did not develop tumors, according to the preliminary report from the US National Toxicology Program (NTP), a part of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. They were exposed to radiation at strengths from 1 to 10 watts per kilogram of tissue, compared with levels of about 1W/kg for most modern smartphones.

In the NTP study, rats and mice were exposed to higher levels of radiation for longer periods of time than what people experience with even the highest level of cellphone use, and their entire bodies were exposed all at once, according to the draft report.

To find out whether there's any connection between cell phones and cancer researchers from the National Institutes of Health's National Toxicology Program exposed rats and mice to high levels of radiofrequency radiation, nine hours a day for more than two years. "Though it does allow us to explore the potential for biological effects if they're going to occur".

Stormy Daniels denies affair with Trump. Then denies that
When Daniels joined Kimmel that night, the talk show host wasted no time pointing out a curious find regarding the statement. A smirking Daniels responded with a "I don't know, did I?" before saying that it "doesn't look like my signature".

A USA government study unveiled this past week revealed that male rats showed increased signs of a particular kind of heart tumour after being exposed to exponential amounts of cellphone radiation. On the other hand, some of these studies showed it is possible that cancer tumors growth to be influenced by cell phone radiation. Similarly, the researchers observed non-cancerous health effects - including lower birth weights, evidence of DNA damage, and heart conditions - among exposed rats, although it was not always clear if the conditions were caused by radiation exposure.

Early reactions to the findings suggest they will not dramatically reshape the debate over cell phone safety.

He said the findings are meant to help inform the design of future cell phone technologies. But he also notes that the heart tumours in rats - called malignant schwannomas - are similar to acoustic neuromas, a benign tumour in people involving the nerve that connects the ear to the brain, which some studies have linked to cellphone use. The panel led by Samet, dean of the Colorado State University School of Public Health in Fort Collins, was organized by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, a specialized agency of the World Health Organization. "Based on this current information, we believe the current safety limits for cell phones are acceptable for protecting the public health".

WH to Pull Nomination of Prime Environmental Adviser
The failure of her nomination marks a small upset for the Trump administration's environmental agenda. According to CNN , she said belief in global warming was a "kind of paganism" for "secular elites".

Brain cancer experts agree, saying the real danger of cell phones is from texting while driving.

"These findings should not be directly extrapolated to human cell phone usage", NTP senior scientist John Bucher said in a statement. It notes that a major European study of cell phones and brain tumor risk is expected to report results later this year.

The FDA has proposed cell phone radiation for carcinogenicity and toxicology testing since 1999.
