Holocaust denier running for Congress in IL

Arthur Jones, the GOP candidate running for Illinois' 3rd Congressional District, who has been denounced by both the state and national Republican party, told CNN Thursday that he's not a Nazi while he argued his beliefs that the Holocaust didn't happen.

"You're a Nazi", he said.

In 2012, he was defeated in the GOP primary, and in 2016, he ran unopposed in the GOP primary and was removed from the ballot "for flagrant disregard of the election code", the Chicago Tribune reports.

Jones spent the majority of his shocking, but largely unsurprising interview with CNN's Alisyn Camerota on Thursday deploying the kind of rhetoric that one would expect from an admitted Holocaust-denier and white supremacist.

Gundogan: Aubameyang saga a burden for Dortmund
And Dortmund at least saw his loan replacement from Chelsea, Michy Batshuayi, score twice in their first match without Aubameyang, Friday's 3-2 win at Cologne.

"I do not belong to any formal national socialist organization anymore". "I don't call myself a Nazi, I call myself an American patriot and statesman". "You are part of the white people's party, you dress in Nazi garb and you celebrate Hitler's birthday".

"It's not vile and rancid, it's the truth!" he yelled. There's nothing on that website that's not true. You've run for congressman and you've lost, for mayor, for alderman, and we're not in the business of predicting the news, but I can say that you will lose this race.

"Yes I deny the Holocaust!" It is an extortion racket, pure and simple.

Camerota then listed conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic propaganda found on his website, which she called "vile and rancid". It's nothing but an worldwide extortion racket by the Jews to blackmail and terorrize their enemies.

Can Manchester City win the quadruple this season?
The Chile global saw his penalty saved in the 68th minute but scored when the ball richocheted off goalkeeper Jonas Lossl. La Liga: Real Sociedad 5 (Willian Jose 32, Illarramendi 62, 89, Canales 75, Elustondo 82) bt Deportivo La Coruna 0.

The criticism towards his website set Jones off onto a tirade about the "two party, Jew party" system.

The Republican Party has also distanced itself from Jones's candidacy.

He hasn't won the GOP nomination yet, but the Republican Party also hasn't yet managed to stop him this time, and it doesn't look like they're going to. "We strongly oppose his racist views and his candidacy for any public office, including the 3rd Congressional District", Illinois Republican Party Chairman Tim Schneider said in a statement.

While he has the support of at least 603 voters - the amount of signatures required to be eligible as candidate - Republican leaders have been swift to disavow Jones and say they will not let the 70-year-old Vietnam veteran win.
