The spring league, founded by longtime NFL executive Bill Polian and TV and film producer Charlie Ebersol, will feature eight teams playing 10-game regular season schedules. Charlie Ebersol, director of the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary about the original XFL, announced on Tuesday plans to launch a football league, the Alliance of American Football, on February 9, 2019, with many details available from Darren Rovell of ESPN. The documentary got people talking about the XFL again at the ideal time, and Vince McMahon recently announced that he will be relaunching the XFL in 2020.

The games that will appear on CBSSN will be live-streamed for free via the league's app, which is now in development.

It was announced on Tuesday via Variety that another football league will be launching one year from now, one week after the 2019 Super Bowl, which is a full calendar year before the XFL's reboot. One can't help but wonder if the original plan was for the documentary to lead to a new XFL with Vince and the Ebersols working together. Polamalu, the former Steelers Pro Bowler, will serve as the head of player relations and USC senior associate athletic director J.K. McKay - also the general manager of the XFL's only championship team - will be the head of football operations. Ebersol intends to stock teams with high-level college football players who didn't make the cut in the NFL. In addition, Ebersol wants games to be affordable, with good seats available at $35.

Former NFLers involved in league to rival XFL

"For the past year, in secret, we've been building a new football league", Charlie Ebersol said. "The XFL, USFL as a live event were successful businesses, but expectations were so high". After touchdowns, a two-point conversion try will be required. Like others before them, Polian and Ebersol say they have a formula for success. "How many Kurt Warners are in grocery stores somewhere waiting to be discovered?"

Each franchise will be league-owned, and the assignment of each team's 50 players will start with a regional draft.

Details are still a little sketchy, but the AAF already has a broadcasting deal in place with CBS, which is a huge step as far as exposure goes.

Tottenham player ratings at Swansea: Eriksen and Lamela dominate
Spurs moved into Wembley at the start of the season as their new 62,000-capacity stadium is being built. Spurs are playing at Wembley this season while its home at White Hart Lane is being redeveloped.

"As a former player, The Alliance's emphasis on player well-being on and off the field is something I'm proud to be a part of".

Forget the XFL, there is another pro football league coming in the offseason and it will start next year. The league's investors reportedly include Peter Thiel's Founders Fund and The Chernin Group, which owns a majority share of Barstool Sports.

The league will have eight teams, likely in warm-weather climates and cities without NFL teams.

The US trade deficit with China ran to a record $375 billion past year - but US exports to the country were also at a record. The groups called on Trump to work with trade allies to push for changes to China's policies.

He also confirmed that current plans call for no timeouts and 60 percent fewer commercials during games.

Starting in 2019, that will no longer be the case as another league plans to get things rolling and rival what the XFL is trying to do.
