Surrey have confirmed their interest in signing Virat Kohli on a possible short-term deal before India's Test series in England this summer.

During the previous tour in 2014, Kohli returned with an ordinary average of 13.40 from five Tests.

The report says that Kohli will make himself available for Surrey's three four-day matches against Hampshire, Somerset and Yorkshire between June 9 and June 28.

Roma to snub €80m keeper deal with Liverpool due to Salah regret
Salah has been nothing short of a revelation since rejoining the Premier League last summer, netting 36 goals in 41 games in all competitions. "He's got the goals, I don't see why he couldn't win it".

The Delhi batsman will thus miss Afghanistan's first-ever Test match, which will be played against India in Bengaluru from June 14. It is also learnt that some of the senior India players will also turn up for India A in England in their bid to prepare for the tour.

Kohli is expected to head to England soon after the completion of his commitments with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. I wouldnt like to add anything more to it.

"The decision has been taken in consultation with the players as we felt after the South Africa series, our Test team needs more time to acclimatise before the England Test series".

Afghanistan will play their first ever worldwide test match against India, a monumental achievement for the country.

Even though his batting abilities are second to none in today's day and age, Virat Kohli has chose to go the extra yard to prepare for the upcoming England tour after the IPL.

"Virat (Kohli) will be playing for a division one county side for sure". Star Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara will also play for Yorkshire, starting April 7. "So yes, if I have the opportunity to go there a few days before the tour starts that would be great".
