On the northern side, heavy snow will continue from Wisconsin to MI, with icy conditions reaching all the way to New England. Sunday's temperatures are expected to hover around the freezing mark, with precipitation turning to a wintry April mix.

The minimum temperatures increased marginally in mid and lower hills but Keylong, Manali and Kalpa shivered under severe cold wave conditions with a low of 0.4 degree, 2.0 degree and 3.5 degree. Due to more dry and windy conditions, fire danger will be high today, prompting a red flag warning for much of Texoma until 9pm. It will be almost a carbon copy of yesterday with summer-like sunshine and unseasonable warmth.

Natchitoches Parish Public Schools and Red River Parish Public Schools officials say they closed at noon so students could get home before the storms. Cloudy skies usher in the new week on Monday, with morning rain and a few showers in the afternoon. This could even lead to some flooding concerns as well. The winds will lighten up as Saturday rolls along and we'll see temperatures roughly 5 degrees warmer than we saw Friday. For others, the showers will come in the form of rain, but there's no doubt Tuesday will be chilly. These winds could generate and transport light amounts of patchy blowing dust, possibly raising the daily PM10 AQI to the lower end of the "Moderate" range, and the daily PM2.5 AQI to the upper end of the "Good" range.

"SNOWFALL I don't look for a lot of snow, but we could wake up Monday morning to a dusting to 1" of snow on grassy areas early Monday.
