Hannity, in contrast, dismissed criticism of his nondisclosure, which emerged Monday when lawyers for Cohen - while in court seeking to exclude some items seized in a federal raid of his office and home - were ordered by a federal judge to disclose his client list.
Hannity released a statement when the news broke and spoke about the relationship at length during his Fox News show on Monday evening, defending himself for not disclosing that Cohen was his lawyer even though he covers Cohen and the investigation on his Fox show. On the radio earlier in the day, Hannity said "I might have handed him ten bucks" and told Cohen "I definitely want attorney-client privilege on this" at times. And to be absolutely clear, they never involved any matter, any - sorry to disappoint so many - matter between me, a third party, a third group, at all.
Hannity has described his personal dealings with Cohen as centered on real estate advice, and said that it "never rose to any level that I needed to tell anyone that I was asking him questions". He said the discussions were "almost exclusively about real estate".
Whether Cohen was recording conversations in his Trump Tower office was a source of concern to some Trump associates during the campaign, two former Trump campaign officials said. "I never retained his services".
After relating the insane way the disclosure all went down and the gasps that the name elicited, Maddow added: "I still am struggling not to laugh".
Protests escalate over PM nomination dispute in Armenian capital
Several hundred people sat or laid down on pavements, blocking roads leading to the parliament building and universities. Armenia's former president Serzh Sargsyan has been elected a Prime Minister with 77 votes for and 17 against.
"I've just learned in the press that anybody who is Sean Hannity's lawyer is going to be blasted so I think this phone call is over", Toensing said.
"I think it's a huge minefield for Donald Trump and the Trump Organization", said trial attorney Joseph Cammarata, who represented Paula Jones in her sexual harassment suit against President Bill Clinton.
Ethics experts immediately questioned why he, or Fox News, hadn't previously revealed the tie. The two other clients were Trump and Elliot Brody, a Republican fundraiser - both of whom received legal help from Cohen when negotiating payouts for women they allegedly had affairs with.
"We may never know, but it doesn't matter what Cohen was doing for (Hannity)", Colbert continued. Even on his own show, Hannity was criticized for not doing so.
But if that's true, why did Cohen's lawyer identify Hannity as a client in federal court?
How Analysts Feel About Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) After Decrease in Sellers?
First Allied Advisory Service owns 86,414 shares or 0.02% of their USA portfolio. 14,855 were accumulated by Advantus Management. Apple comprises approximately 4.8% of Nexus Investment Management Inc.'s holdings, making the stock its 6th biggest holding.
Cohen's lawyers resisted revealing the name of the third client, saying it would be embarrassing and unnecessary. Ironically, one of the more subdued was ABC's Jimmy Kimmel talking about "my pal"; he engaged in a bitter dispute with Hannity just a week ago over a Kimmel joke about Melania Trump.
While Fox News higher-ups aren't concerned about the conflict of interest, a regular guest on Hannity's show is. Network representatives instead referred reporters to Hannity's own statements.
He only has three clients and apparently he works for free.
