"That's why people admired her and loved her so." said Jeb Bush, son.

Author and historian Jon Meacham, the first eulogist of the three, related a amusing story that he'd shared with the former first lady - and her reaction to it (see the video clips of his eulogy, above and below this section of text).

The couple's family, including their five children, 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, played a prominent role in the service.

Other guests at the funeral included former Rep. Bush during the service were Susan Garrett Baker, wife of former Secretary of State and White House Chief of Staff James Baker, and presidential historian Jon Meacham. Flags were flown at half-mast.

Meacham spoke to hundreds of people attending the funeral Saturday for the former first lady in Houston. He was among four former US presidents at the service.
