Yesterday current Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho said the club was "confident" and "positive" that Sir Alex will make a full recovery.

"Sir Alex no longer needs intensive care and will continue rehabilitation as an inpatient", read a United club statement.

"His family have been overwhelmed by the level of support and good wishes but continue to request privacy as this will be vital during this next stage of recovery", the statement added.

"[The club] are positive, they are very positive".

Speaking ahead of tonight's game at West Ham, he said: "I can only think that if there is any relation it is a positive relation".
