A 2018 Ford F-150 "King Ranch" pickup truck is displayed during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, U.S., January 10, 2017.

With the Eaton Rapids supplier offline, Ford has suspended F-150 production at its Kansas City, MO Assembly Plant and Dearborn Truck Plant, along with Ford F-Series Super Duty production at its Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville. Production at Mercedes, Fiat Chrysler and General Motors was also disrupted. Mercedes' facilities in Alabama have adjusted hours in response to the supply interruption.

The company said it has about an 84-day supply of the F-Series truck in dealers' inventories. "It's a full team effort and we're confident that any impacts will be short-term".

Consumers planning to buy a new Ford F-150 pick-up truck this year had better hurry to their Ford dealer and be prepared to pay the sticker price. Ford employs approximately 202,000 people worldwide.

Saudi Arabia Says It Will Build Nuclear Bomb if Iran Does
Riyadh has long accused its regional archfoe Tehran of supplying Yemen's rebels with ballistic missiles, a charge Tehran denies. Both the Houthi movement and Iran deny any military con nection-but are politically aligned in regional affairs.

This means that F-150 production has completely stopped, but there are still Super Duty models being built in Ohio.

The shutdown comes after a fire at a supplier last week affected production, due to a shortage of die-cast components. An analyst calculated recently that the value of the F-Series truck is greater than of Ford overall.

Production of the Explorer, Flex, MKT, Expedition and Navigator is not expected to be halted, Ford said.

The plant supplies front-end bolsters for the Super Duty trucks, which sit behind the truck's grill, Felker said. The shutdowns will adversely impact Ford's second-quarter earnings, but the company expects to compensate for this later.

Five senior ISIS officials captured in US-Iraqi sting operation, reports say
The self-styled caliph is still at large and believed to be hiding in the cross border area between Iraq and Syria. Abadi declared final victory last December over the group, which overran a third of Iraq in 2014.

"For Ford, this is potentially enormous, It's just tragic", said Abhay "Abe" Vadhavkar, director of manufacturing, engineering and technology at the Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor. However, that may change depending on the length of the production halt, which has not yet been determined.

The assurance likely came as a relief to investors, given that F-Series trucks account for most of Ford's profits.

Ford has said it doesn't know how long it will be before it can resume production of the F-150, as it scrambles to find a supplier who can provide it with the parts it needs.
