Only.13 inches had fallen at the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport through 5 p.m. Saturday, but almost 6 inches has fallen so far this month, about three times the normal amount. A tropical storm warning has been issued for the west coast of the Florida peninsula from Bonita Beach to the Anclote River. "We're talking eight to 12 inches of rain this weekend, and storm surges on the Gulf Coast".
