Trump Mueller investigation: President could take LEGAL ACTION against any court demands

US President Donald Trump admitted Sunday that his son met with a Russian lawyer in Trump Tower in 2016 "to get information on an opponent" but defended it as "totally legal".

He concluded by further distancing himself from the meeting his son arranged, writing, "I did not know about it!"

Judge Andrew Napolitano took a closer look at the potential crimes committed in the meeting involving Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner and Russian nationals promising dirt on Hillary Clinton in 2016. Veselnitskaya wanted the meeting so they could talk about lifting Russian adoptions and possibly lifting sanctions if Trump were to win the election, while Trump Jr. expected useful information against Clinton.

Last July, Sekulow had said the president "didn't sign off on anything" in regards to the Trump Tower meeting.

"Most important, Trump confirmed that the meeting with Russians was created to obtain something valuable - previously undisclosed dirt on Hillary Clinton".

The Post had reported that the statement to the Times was dictated by the President, though at the time his lawyers denied his involvement.

Investors' deepening concerns have sent the lira to record lows and hammered local stocks, as well as Turkey's debt-risk profile. On Tuesday, a court rejected his appeal to be released from house arrest during his trial on terrorism charges.

Trump has denied he had any prior knowledge of the meeting and repeated that claim on Sunday.

CNN reported last month that Michael Cohen, the president's longtime personal lawyer, was willing to tell Mueller that Trump did know about the Trump Tower meeting in advance.

Flynn, who is cooperating with Mueller's investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign, has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Sergey Kislyak, then the Russian ambassador to the United States.

Trump Jr.'s testimony to Congress contained a similar defense as his father's Sunday tweet, indicating that he saw no reason not to accept a meeting that could yield important information about Clinton, even though he was told that it was part of an effort by the government of a hostile power.

Betraying no surprise or misgivings about the offer from a hostile foreign power, Trump Jr. replied: 'If it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer'.

But this isn't the first time the 25-year-old's future at Old Trafford has been in doubt. I think the World Cup is the flawless habitat for a player like him to give the best.

"The president still hasn't made a decision, and we're not going to make a final decision just yet", he said. They purposely cause great division & distrust.

They later reversed course in a memo to Mr Mueller and said Mr Trump was indeed behind the statement that omitted the prospect of collecting dirt on Mrs Clinton.

Mr Sekulo told ABC the Trump team had not broken any specific laws in their election campaigning.

He called the "Fake" media "very unsafe and sick". And at a trio of rallies, he escalated his already vitriolic rhetoric toward the media, savaging the press for unflattering coverage and, he feels, bias.

The admission is a significant departure from Trump's previous statements regarding the controversial meeting with a Kremlin-linked lawyer.
