Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan Latest Quartet in College Football Playoff Rankings

Notre Dame remains undefeated, but they are still just outside the top four of our college football power rankings entering the second weekend of November. It won't take more than one or two mild upsets to have the selection committee sifting through a bunch of two-loss teams to fill the final playoff spot. MI ousted LSU from the top four, sending the Tigers to seventh after their tough loss to Alabama.

- Ohio State. Who wouldn't watch Joe Burrow, who transferred from the Buckeyes to play at LSU, go against his former team? If they win outright, and one of the teams in front of them loses, Oklahoma might be able to sneak into the top four. Wazzu's loss was by three on the road to an unranked 5-4 USC team. Last season after Week 10, there were three teams in the Top 25 that had lost three games. Some conference championship matchups have already been set, but others remain wide-open as to what could transpire over the remaining few weeks.

When it comes to wins, West Virginia has a win over No. 19 Texas; Washington State hasn't beaten a team now in the rankings, though it may have a chance against a ranked Washington team to end the regular season.

Notre Dame moved up to third after the team improved to 9-0 following a hard-fought win over Northwestern. We're talking about a team that's 6-3, one that literally needed its athletic director to publicly go on the record Tuesday that they won't be firing their coach this season.
